About A Boy…
June 3, 2006Just wanna get this survey Lynn tagged me with since November done with first. So read it and you might find out something about me that you never knew!
5 snacks I like to munch on:
1. Cookies & Cream Ice-Cream – the BEST ice-cream flavor.
2. Cheetos & Cheeseballs & Nachos – they’re just so cheesy and yummy…
3. Chocolate – anything chocolate actually, they’re all good…
4. Joe’s food – he makes the best brownies, cakes, cheesecakes, hamburgers, etc. He’s a future chef!
5. Fettucini Carbonara – I’m sure Pat, Ta, and Kitti will say the same thing too, haha…
5 bands whose songs I know all the words to [maybe not know all the words but that I really like]:
1. Greenday – especially their latest album – AWESOME!
2. Coldplay
3. Linkin Park – not their Collision Course with Jay-Z though.
4. Evanescence
5. Rooster – Their first album was superb.
6. U2 - Great band, great lyrics, great songs.
7. Fort Minor – Didn’t expect the album to be so good – especially “Where’d You Go” and “Kenji”.
8. Hanson – Yes, that’s probably because I’ve been bombarded with it since my childhood because of someone…
[And sorry if I added a little more than 5, but I love music! - not the person, lol]
5 places I would run away to:
1. San Francisco – The weather’s great – not way hot like Thailand.
2. Paris – I just like the whole city-life thing… Plus the weather’s pretty good and it’s not cloudy and rainy like London. Might get confused with the language though.
3. Ireland – Because it’s so green like Byron. And the weather’s good there.
4. Phuket – The weather is much better than Bangkok and it’s not too crowded like the city here. Plus, it’s right by the sea… [Obviously since it's an island]
5. Italy – The weather’s pretty good and it has so much interesting history to learn about.
[Seems like all my choices are related with the weather...]
5 things I’d do with $100 million:
1. Give some to charity.
2. Give part of it to my parents. I don’t know, maybe half??
3. Keep it in the bank for my descendants.
4. Invest it in a business with my friends [who'll prob have their own businesses, too!]
5. I don’t know -_-’… I’ll be glad if I just make $1 million!
5 biggest joys:
1. Taking pictures [especially candids, haha]
2. Traveling
3. MUN [Yeah, I'm such a dork]
4. Hanging out with my friends
5. Watching TV [in case you didn't know, I'm a couch potato...]
5 bad habits:
1. Laziness – I’m a sloth!
2. I like to leave things till the last minute.
3. I like to “type” the words I’m saying or thinking even though there isn’t a keyboard… Must’ve been from the long nights of staying up on MSN during the summers of Grade 7 & 8.
4. Mumble – I mumble so much that people don’t know what I’m saying.
5. I can get seriously addicted to something [games and TV shows that is, not drugs/alcohol/or anything else] and can some time let out a long chain of curses when I’m losing – as seen with my behavior when I play “Puzzle Fighter” at school in the common room, right Harrovians?
5 things I say too much:
1. Crap – I just don’t seem to dare to say sh*t…
2. Gum – not as in bubble gum but as in “กำ”, a Thai word that is somewhat similar to “crap”.
3. Ai-Ha – a sort of more “polite” version of “ai hia”, a Thai word that is somewhat simialr to “you asshole”.
4. Great… [with a sarcastic tone, of course...]
5. Uhh…
5 things I would never be caught dead wearing:
1. A dress.
2. Make-up.
3. These. Never in my life will I wear the yellow stockings poor Malvolio wore in Twelfth Night [even though I had to wear it for my Year 11 English Class Drama performance - it was made out of yellow poster paper, of course].
4. My birthday suit.
5. And lastly, THIS. One thing that I always wondered: Why in God’s name is Superman wearing his underwear outside of his pants??? It just doesn’t make sense…
5 joyful memories from your youth:
1. Practicing & Performing the “Jacob and Esau” Play for the Sixth Grade Speak Out with Mandy, Wendy, Justin, and Pop. Man, we rocked the Speak Out that year!
2. Moving to RIS [finally out of my old Thai school where the teachers' only solution to a problem is hitting the student].
3. Europe Trip with Mom and Lynn in Seventh Grade.
4. Hanging out & shooting at the basketball court in Middle School during lunch time with Tanya, Tent, Pim, Jirayuth, and Ice.
5. March 15th, 2006. Yeah I know it’s really recent and not exactly from my “youth”, but hey, it’s one of my best memories. Had the Bangkok MUN Conference throughout the day [which totally rocked, since I was chair, haha] and was probably the best Bangkok conference I attended. Also met up with Harrovians [Pat, Joe, Kitti, Ta, Nun, Bifern, Por, Donut, Yuka, Blue, Tan, Raghav, and Nui] later that evening at Paragon for dinner and bowling – had a blast that day!
5 embarrassing/bad memories from your youth:
1. Throwing up during assembly in first grade… I can still remember people staring at me… Still, at least I didn’t have bird poo landing on my head like this other girl.
2. Going up in front of the rest of the class in fifth grade for a presentation without realizing that my pants were unzipped. I didn’t realize until 5 minutes later when people were just laughing uncontrollably.
3. Falling down the stairs on my way to sketch the Peace Poll for Art class right in front of the girl I used to like. Even worse, when I finally slid down to the bottom of the steps, my stupid sketch board just had to fly down and land right on my face. Jeesh, talk about total embarrassment…
4. Singing a very stupid Simple Plan song at the 7th Grade dance because I was forced to go up and “encourage” other people to come up and sing, too. Very bad mistake. Very bad…
5. Back to fifth grade again… It was my first day at RIS and I went into Homeroom and asked my homeroom teacher where I should sit. She said, “Your name is on the ‘baig’.” I asked myself, “What the eff is a ‘baig’???”. I asked her again. She repeated, this time pronouncing ‘baig’ very clearly – “Ba-IGG”… This caused the whole class to turn and stare at me. I later learned that she was Canadian and that “baig” was actually “BAG”. Jeesh, how ignorant was I…
5 (current) TV shows I like:
1. Lost - Didn’t get into it until near the end of Season one. What is the truth behind the whole island thing??
2. Arrested Development – Their family is just so funny! I really like the episode where the Michael was talking to Lindsay about how their employees are not people, but sheep, and a picture of a sheep pops up for a split second with a “Baaaa!” noise… Why did they cancel it???
3. Scrubs - Seriously, are all doctors that weird??? Anyway, it always gets me laughing whenever I watch it.
4. MTV Whatever – I just can’t get enough of the AIYA gang! Shenaz was so funny when she played the distraught bride… I guess they were right when they said, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”!
5. CSI: NY – All my friends like the Miami version but I find this version better, more fun, and more interesting.
5 (all-time favorite) TV shows I like:
1. Friends - no need to explain why.
2. Survivor - THE best reality show ever… I can’t miss a single episode, you can ask Lynn to confirm that! One time, I was in the hospital and they didn’t show Survivor so I begged Lynn to tell me what was happening through the phone. I also called her from Singapore that time during the IASAS MUN Conference to ask her who got kicked out. I even – Ok, I think you pretty much get the message, right?
3. Gilmore Girls – It’s just really funny and witty and they talk so fast. Much better than the O.C., One Tree Hill, and all that over dramatic stuff they show…
4. South Park – Hahaha, the best cartoon I’ve ever watched, despite the whole crude language and derogatory terms. I have to thank Syne, for lending me FIVE seasons worth of DVDs, and Boung, for burning some of the later episodes for me. Cartman’s so mean but so funny… And who thinks that he has a nice voice when he sings?? Because I do!
5. Grey’s Anatomy – Just started watching it and am seriously addicted to it. Can’t wait for the second season DVD.
5 books I like:
1. The whole Harry Potter series – Can’t wait for book seven!
2. I Am the Cheese – One of the few class books that I actually liked in 8th Grade. Cormier’s writing is just so brilliant.
3. Angela’s Ashes – It’s just so hilarious! The story, the dialogue, the fact that it’s all real – everything! Not only is it funny, it also has a rather sad side to the story, too.
4. The Da Vinci Code – Besides all the controversy revolving around it, the plot’s really great and it’s a real page-turner.
5. The Historian – Really long and interesting book that gave me the creeps as I read it. But the climax scene was sorta rushed and short… I mean, after all that they did to get there and 500 pages or so, the big climax scene is done in what – 3-4 pages??
5 Movies I like:
1. The whole Lord of the Rings trilogy – An excellent epic.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean – Can’t wait for the upcoming sequel.
3. Crash – It totally deserved its Best Picture Oscar win.
4. Love Actually – I don’t know why, but I can watch this movie over and over nonstop and I don’t get bored of it.
5. Big Fish – The whole movie was just so creative and the story was brilliant – especially how they were all somewhat true in the end.
6. Orange County – Not the series, obviously. Probably watched it 4 or 5 times already and I still find myself laughing as I watch it.
7. Fan Chan – Probably the best Thai movie ever – seriously. Anyway, it was a funny movie and some parts during the school scenes totally reminded me of my old school!
8. Match Point – Interesting movie about love, fidelity, friendship, and how everything depends on luck.
9. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle – Similar to Road Trip and Dude, Where’s My Car? but it was so freaking hilarious! I wasn’t able to stop laughing as I watched it.
5 Songs I can’t get out of my right now:
1. Every Word I Say by Hanson. It’s a really good song, you know…
2. One by Mary J. Blige ft. U2. I think it’s even better than U2’s version!
3. Shy That Way by Tristan Prettyman ft. Jason Mraz. Just a nice song, mid-tempo, and catchy lyrics.
4. Nothing At All by Bellefire. They should’ve released as a single because it’s really good.
5. 24 by Jem. Just a really catchy tune with great lyrics.
5 fictional characters I would date:
1. Bridget Hennessy from 8 Simple Rules – Yeah, she might be a bimbo but watch the psychology episode and you’ll see that she is smart.
2. Tru Davies from Tru Calling – Just think that it’s cool that she can go back in time and save people. And she’s smart. Can’t imagine having a date though since she’ll run out all of a sudden.
3. Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean – Don’t ask, you all probably know why anyway!
4. “The Girl” from My Sassy Girl – She looks like she’ll be fun to be with, haha.
5. Izzie Stevens from Grey’s Anatomy – She’s a model AND a surgical intern – not something you see everyday, lol.
5 famous people I’d like to meet (dead or alive):
1. Jesus
2. J.K. Rowling
3. Bono
4. Keira Knightley
5. Shakespeare
5 people you tag to do this:
1. Tanya
2. Tent
3. Cinnasis
4. Amara
5. Deer
Currently Listening to: Every Word I Say by Hanson.
