A [Really Late] Quick Update on Term 2

June 3, 2006

This is months overdue, haha. Harrow’s term 3 is about to end in a month and I’m still talking about term 2. Anyway, this is just a short update on each of the events that happened during my second term at Harrow. Here’s just some links to the recently added albums in the Yahoo Photo Album.

Twelfth Night Production
Did the Twelfth Night play back in January and had a blast doing so. We did three plays in all and the second one was the best since it was in front of the whole secondary school and the audience was really into it. The first round was mainly Year 6 and 7s so they didn’t really get it and the third round was mainly adults… So maybe they didn’t find the jokes that funny… Anyway, Prang was an excellent Olivia, Kate did an awesome job playing a man and a woman, Chris was really great [especially in the fighting scene], and the Olivia Household [Trin, Jeeb, Kitti, and Raghav] were freaking funny! I wouldn’t mind doing the play ten more times! Anyway, g’luck doing Romeo and Juliet next year [especially Prang and Kitti who were casted as Juliet's parents]. Click the pic below to go to the Twelfth Night album.

Byron House Camp 2006
Had to arrange the different teams with Bifern before we went to camp. After school, we took a two hour bus ride to Pathum Thani, the camp site, and it looked completely different from last year. Much nicer. Strange though that during the night, all the girls got bit by the mosquitoes while the guys barely got bitten! Anyway, my team [Green Team. Consisted of Winner, Natalee, Third, Adrian, Poy, Jam, Aim, Aom, and I.] lost the tug-of-war [but were able to eliminate Bifern's team, haha!] but was one of the highest teams to score during the obstacle course rounds [thanks to Natalee and Jam who had great balancing skills and scored so many points for us]. So we tied with Bifern’s team [Orange] and so the team leader of each team, in this case, Bifern and I had to do paper-rock-scissor and I don’t know if it was a miracle but I beated her! Haha, odd since I always lose. So we were one of the highests. The next day we had the build-a-raft game and race and my team and Bifern’s team made it to the finals and will compete with another two teams from the other group in the afternoon. Later on we had the mountain bike ride and Aom did an excellent job leading the way while I looked after our teammates at the back. Then during the final raft race, we won! Haha, teamwork, eh? Pretty cool – Bifern was fuming by the way [:P]. Then when the final results came out… I guess it was intended… There was a tie. Between who? BIFERN AND ME AGAIN. [Mr. Wise let out a laugh at this point, haha] So we had to do another round of tug-of-war for the tie-breaker. Because we had one less person that Bifern’s team, we got to choose one person from other teams. So we chose Kong, whose team won the tug-of-war. Thank God for him, we beated the Orange team and the Green team became the winning team! Think the top four results was 4th – Kong’s White team, 3rd – Raghav’s Blue team, 2nd – Bifern’s Orange team [originally pink but they had no pink bandanas], and 1st – Aom and my GREEN TEAM! Haha, a good sign for Byron, eh? I think this House Camp was much better than last year’s. We also did some prank calls to Nun and Bifern that night since they didn’t have Gaf’s number. Haha, it was freaking funny. Weren’t able to fall asleep until 2 or 3 AM though because it was freaking hot. And we had to wake up at 6:30 in the morning! Anyway, click on the pic below to go to the House Camp album.

Sports Day 2006
This year’s Sports Day was sorta more entertaining than last year’s since Jeeb, Topsy, and the rest of the Suriyothai House managed the music list and turned on really fun songs to run to. Had a great [but tiring] day. The day before, Aom, Bifern, Raghav, Gaf, and I worked on the Byron sign [as seen below] and worked on the drinks and snacks list for our house. The next day, we had to carry the ice, drinks, and snacks all the way from the Dining Hall to the Sports Hall – not a short distance, you know. Anyway, Mr. Wise sprained his ankle the day before so Bifern and I had to work on getting all the kids to their track and field events. Not an easy thing to do since the kids were all over the field and we didn’t even know some of their names [yes, I know, really bad since you're the house captain and should know their names]. Also did the 1500 m run since they weren’t able to send the list at the last minute, so yeah… I’m proud to say that I was third… to last that is, haha. Had to do the 200 m as well. Don’t ask about that. Anyway, all of the Byron students did an excellent job and really made an effort this year. Despite all the running around and shouting for the students to get to their events, I have to say that it was fun and better than just sitting around doing nothing like last year. Maybe I’ll go and help next year :P . Oh, and the final results…

6th Place: Suriyothai [Pretty odd since they have really good athletes]
5th Place: Sonakul [At least they didn't beat Byron like last year]
4th Place: Churchill [Haha, Nithi was really frustrated!]
3rd Place: Byron [MUCH better than last year's 5th. We were just 7 points behind Nehru!]
2nd Place: Nehru [I was sorta cheering for Nehru to beat Keller since Byron didn't have a chance. But to find out that we were only 7 points behind Nehru... That's just really sad...]
1st Place: Keller [Again... Starting to get sick of them getting first place at all the sporting events. Can somebody just BEAT them for once??]

So this year’s was much better and we totally improved… Wonder how next year’s will be… Click on the pic below to go to the Sports Day 2006 album.

First Day of School

August 31, 2005

First day of school! Right now I’m writing this entry from the computer in the common room as I wait for my mom to come pick me up. Today has been tiring. Not in a sense that we worked a lot or anything but because we were told so many things about our classes, our behaviour, our community service projects, our Sixth Form Award, and all the activities we will get. Also, Bifern and I were made House Captains this year, so this will mean some more work for us. In addition to our tiring work, we will have to act as “models” for the lower years and behave well as well as guide them throughout their years. For me, I will have to guide the Year 7s in Byron House along with Bifern and Aom and get to know all of them to make our house more “united”.

———- Anyway, we went into Registration [Homeroom Time] and basically saw our classmates. Byron has the most remaining students in the Sixth Form with 15 people [I know, it's very little]. We listened to our Tutor, Mr. Gray, talk about the different subjects and basically learned about what I told you earlier, our duties. However, by Period 2, we forgot that there was assembly and we decided not to attend it since by the time we realized it, it was already 10 minutes into the assembly. So we just stayed in our classroom and worked on our schedule, worked on our reflection about our previous year, and go around getting teachers to sign and give permission for us to take the certain subject.

At one point, Mr. Wise, the Head of Byron House, came to our class and pulled Bifern and I out for a little chat. We were informed that we are to be Byron’s House Captains. A little tradition is broken here since there’s usually only one House captain per house but this year, we are taking a step further and making two people the House Captains so that we can work together and help divide our time, thus giving us less work. Then we had the House Assembly where we got introduced to the new teachers and learned a bit on Froggy, our Mascot, that was stolen last year. In addition, Mr. Wise said we now have TWO Froggy’s – one male and the other a female. Sort of representing our House Captains [Haha]. Bifern was saying that we might as well bring the tiny Froggy doll she has at home to make it a complete family!

Being in the Sixth Form means another thing – we are allowed to eat lunch quicker. Well, not quicker but we wouldn’t have to wait in line with the rest of the school. We can just go straight in through the doors and up the stairs to consume our food. Excellent! After we ate, we came to the common room and played some cards to let time fly by until we realized it was time to go back to our tutors and we would have to go and introduce ourselves to the younger students. So Bifern, Aom, and I went to the Year 7 class and did several activities with them.

After doing some sort of student council thing, it was the end of the day! We didn’t even realize it! So I dropped by the ICT Department to see Mr. Way about MUN and the Conference coming up. I was told that MUN will be every Tuesday. Uh-oh, a problem right there. I have the Twelfth Night Drama on Tuesdays, too! So I will have to ask Mr. Herbert to see if he can possibly move the Drama activity to another day. This should be fine considering there are several other people in both Drama and MUN…

With MUN and Drama on my mind, I would have to go sign up for the sports we would like to do for our P.E. class. We signed up at the Sports Hall for Fitness since several other Year 11s were also there and by the time we were done, it was time for me to go home. However, my mom isn’t here yet and it would be about one hour until it gets here. Well, now it’s only 15 minutes away… Anyway, tomorrow will be another tiring day since we’ll be out doing our community service. For Bifern, Kitti, Joe, and I, we will be going to the Rainbow House Foundation [or something] and we will have to play and interact with them. Sounds tiring and we’ll be there for the whole day tomorrow.

Now that I think about it, it’s gonna be one tiring year. The reason I’m typing is this is simply because I have nothing to do right now that I’m in the common room. This is just the first day and people already brought in stereos, keyboards, comic books, beanbag chairs, CDs, and so many other things. I wonder how tomorrow will be as well as the rest of the year. Bifern mentioned that because we are House Captains, we have the power to assign people to do what they want during House Competitions. Haha! Get ready Byron House! You’re gonna be assigned to do so many things you’ll be tired. But of course, this is so that we’ll end up at Number 1 at the end of the year! Actually, Raghav said that the Sports Captain does that. But anyway, same thing! Last year we were forth out of six houses – not bad, but we’re gonna try and make it number one this year.

Alright, it’s almost time that my mom should be here so I better get going and I guess I’ll be writing this some time later… Jeesh, this is a record! Two entries in two days! One day actually, since I finished the previous one at 1 AM! Anyway, see you all later and by the way, I changed the shoutbox since several people were complaining that they can’t post messages. As for the song, I’ll still play Fix You since it’s the song that is stuck in my head these days…

A Glimpse of Harrow and NIST MUN

October 20, 2004

Hooray! I finally have time to update my site! Sorry for not updating it for two months… Basically, school just started and am currently trying to catch up with all the things that my classmates learned last year. I won’t write much in this entry but I took my camera to school and took some pictures for a couple of days already, so they are… Note: There are quite a lot of pics so it might take a little while for them to load. Please be patient. WARNING: VERY LONG ENTRY SO IT MIGHT TAKE AWHILE FOR YOU TO FINISH READING IT!

Here’s the Art room – and that’s the infamous boater on the table.

A snap shot of George in Business Studies. Man, this camera is good at taking quick shots.

Here’s my Math class – How’s the teacher? Well, better than the “corpse”.

In Math class. (From left to right: Pat [At the very back], Syne, Tan, and Ben – not Big Ben.)

Raghav

Ben (again, not the Benja).

Nun (a.k.a. Pat) in Math class.

Here’s one of the computer labs (There are about four of them in the Secondary School building). No rotten Apples (as Mr. Mike B. said) and an annoying server that always crashes, but they use Windows XP – and the internet is really fast.

Another view of the com lab.

Here’s a view of my tutor room (Homeroom). It’s actually the Mandarin room, but we have our registration time here. And those are our lockers on the right hand side.

Julie.

Champ and Julie.

Me and Champ (Julie wanted to let me get in there… I look like I’m a little kid!)

Our Tutor – Mr. Francois. Yep, he’s French. That’s Gaf’s shadow on the left hand side.

Here’s a view of the walkway outside.

Here’s a view of the walkway. Those girls are wearing dresses because they’re in Primary, so they wear dresses.

Walking to the Dining Hall. (From left to right: Boom, George, and Nithi)

A quick snap shot of Golf – remember her? She used to go to RIS, too.

Here’s where you keep your bags when you go into eat. You’re not allowed to bring your bags inside.

The long and never-ending lunch lines that are usually guarded by prefects and the Head Boy & Girl (one of them actually remind me of Percy Weasley.).

Completely bored waiting in the lunch line, so took a pic of these four. (From left to right: Junko, Omm, Fa, and Gun)

The Dining Hall.

George with his evil look.

A very bad shot of Joe while he was talking – He didn’t even know I took the picture!

Nithi and Boom’s behind him. Those are Maek’s hands popping in.

Nithi again with a spoon in his mouth.

A last view of the Dining Hall.

Here’s the Administration building.

Just a view of the school.

In the walkway again.

Obviously, Secondary School Building.

Here’s the walkway leading to the Primary building.

The walkway that leads to the Science and Secondary Building.

If you walk further, you’ll reach the teachers’ home area and the Headmaster’s house.

Here’s the Science Building hallway.

A view from the second floor of the Science Building.

The loo… I mean the toilet. Very clean – a big contrast with RIS’s.

Another view from the second floor.

One of the Science Labs.

Another Science Lab.

Again, another view to the teachers’ homes and Headmaster’s house.

Walkway leading to the Library.

A wonderful Periodic Table to remind us about all the elements in the table. Dmitri Mendeleev would be proud.

The usual path that I take to go to the Secondary Building every morning.

The Library.

Again, the Library.

A view of the Clock Tower.

The Science Building – from another perspective.

The Clock Tower. It actually is very handy. You can see the time from far away and some of the notices are put there every morning.

Walkway leading to the Sports Hall.

The Clock Tower again.

Under the Clock Tower.

Part of the walkway leading to the Sports Hall.

There is a big list of the teachers and faculty members of the whole school. Here are the teachers of Secondary School – divided by Houses (Byron, Churchill, Keller, Nehru, Sonakul, and Suriyothai).

A map of the school in case you get lost

The parking lot.

A view of the Primary Building.

Sports Hall coming up.

The walkway leading to the Sports Hall.

Anything familiar? It’s montri!

Here’s their track – I think. Pretty nice though, not like the chalk-drawn tracks at RIS.

Just a view on the side of the Sports Hall.

The Sports Hall corridor – it’s much bigger than Godbout Hall – and the Phoenix Hall.

Not really sure what this is for. Heard it’s something for cricket or croquet?? One of them – If I’m wrong, correct me.

Part of the soccer field – it’s dug 6 feet below ground level. Is it to prevent any high kicks?

That’s part of the Tennis Court – four in all. And the building beside it on the right hand side is the Boarding House.

Inside the Sports Hall. Some people were practicing for the Inter-House Basketball Competition.

Sports Hall again.

Again, Sports Hall.

Maek trying to force Boom to take a picture.

Trin getting ready to shoot.

Trin jumping – will the ball get in? Going – Going – aw, blast… It bounced out. It’s ok, try again!

Here’s just a cut through to the other side of the Sports Hall. Can get very windy here sometimes – Kinda reminds me of Mrs. Rao’s Bernoulli Effect.

Walkway.

A bridge. Students are supposed to use them but we never do – only if teachers are there.

The Library again.

Going back to the Secondary Building.

The walkway again.

A complete picture of the Primary Building.

Just a little garden area inside the Secondary Building.

Right, that’s the end of the school tour. On October 3rd, Harrow participated in the practice MUN conference at NIST along with RIS, BPS, ISB, NIST, and PREM. I went there so here are some shots of the place – along with some RISians… By the way, you guys changed a lot – a lot of you are more quiet and not that hyper anymore. Maybe that’s what High School does to us. So, here are the pics…

MUN sign

Raghav M. and Raghav S..

Yup, those are Jenny T. and Raveen.

Part of the walkway. Their campus looks rather old. Except for the Sports Hall, you’ll see it soon.

Snap shot of Jenny.

Walkway to the Canteen and that’s Raveen popping into the picture.

LUNCH TIME! We’re waiting in line and there’s Arpita, Chandini, and Swati.

A very bad shot of Lee – sorry dude…

Rakshet

A shot of the NIST canteen.

Raghav – He didn’t know the camera was there until I called his name.

NIST hallway.

Here’s their Sports Hall – nice, eh?

Here’s the hallway that leads into our different meeting rooms – that’s Lee over there.

The conference room where Committee Three (Human Trafficking) was. Very messy desks.

Never give Jenny the camera – or you’ll end up like me here.

Revenge time! Thanks for the pic, Rakshet.

Me acting all professional as Yu-Ting and I discuss the resolution.

Rakshet and Yu-Ting at the top left corner.

Some of the Harrow MUN team. From left to right: Won Jae, Me, Sharp, Chris, Raghav, and Mr. Way (MUN Advisor).

Another pic of some of the Harrow MUN team. From left to right: Mrs. Keys (The other MUN advisor and also my English teacher), Me, Won Jae, Raghav, Sharp, Chris (did he get taller??), and Mr. Way.

That’s “Cyprus” (very outspoken) and me (Denmark) in our MUN session.

Aishu and Chris. Aishu, don’t be shy, look at the camera!

Harrow MUN team. From left to right: Saneh, Sharp Won Jae, Fay, Raghav M., Deer, Raghav S., Me, Noon, Chris, Nad, and Lewis.

Late Birthday presents that Nehal and Jenny gave me. (Your gift is really nice, Nehal. Jenny – your beans are REALLY disgusting [but still tasty] – I should have listened to Rakshet’s warning!)

Some of the MUN souvenirs we got.

Bertie Bott’s Beans flavors… Some yummy, some disgusting. Lynn got really bad ones like Soap, Earthworm, etc, etc. The worst I got was Dirt and Sardines – kept on getting Sardine. I think I had THREE of them. Great gift Jenny!

Well, that was how NIST went. It was fun and interesting. I can’t wait to go back to visit you guys at RIS… I think I’ll go there this week, but not sure what day yet. So if I will go, I’ll tell you guys. Last Thursday, there was the Autumn Bash (rock concert) and it was FUN. They’re much better than the Underground of RIS. Well, I took some pics of the concert but they all came out bad and only a few came out ok. They played songs from Blink 182, Offspring, Cranberries, Evanescence, Big Ass, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, etc, etc… (and they all sounded great) So here they are…

AUTUMN BASH

From left to right: Tina, Sai, Nun, Bifern, and Pat/Putt.

Mew on somebody’s shoulders.

Maek being lifted, too.

Crowd surfing! Many people fell to the ground though – must have hurt!

Oh, some of you have wanted to see how the books look, so here are some pics of them…

Wonderful textbooks. They’re not as thick and heavy as RIS’s (thank God). Shown above are my Math, Physics, Business, Chemistry, Biology, and English textbooks. History textbook is missing from the pic.

Our notebooks… Different sizes and different colors – how lovely. Shown above are my Business, English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Math, Business Key Terms, and Thai Key Terms notebooks. The other English and Thai notebooks are missing from the pic.

Our homework diary (student planner).

Just inside the planner. That’s the calendar. Three terms, three half-term breaks, one month Christmas break, several house competitions and etc. They even have a page for School Nurse visits. If this was my seventh grade class, half the class’s, especially Mandy’s and Mick’s woud be full since they always went to the clinic. Mandy, do you still remember when Mick said he had a stomachache and came back with ice pack on his head? Yeah, good old days…

Just my schedule. Basically have English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Business, ICT, P.E., History, Life Studies, and Thai. An awful lot, eh?

Here’s the Harrow folder.

The textbooks again.

Just all the books and the boater.

Oh, and if you guys want to see more of Harrow, watch CNN “GLOBAL NEWS” (or something) on UBC 53 this THURSDAY (Oct. 21) at 20:30 – There’ll be a report on HARROW – they came to film last Monday. Wonder what they’ll put on there. Anyways, see you guys later. If I go to RIS this week, I’ll tell you guys – good luck with school!

Spiderman and Academy Fantasia

July 26, 2004

Sorry for not updating for over a week… My internet connection has been down and I wasn’t able to connect at all. And after thousands of time trying to connect and failing, I gave up. Well, not much thing has happened this week anyway. Well, I will just talk about anything that comes into my mind… First of all, remember when I said that my right eye hurts last week? Well, I went to the doctor at Kasemrad Hospital with Dad and Lynn last Saturday. When we arrived there, the nurse told us to wait for the doctor to come. Finally, after one hour of waiting, the doctor finally came. After finding out what’s wrong with me, the doctor just said that it’s a normal skin disease… Phew… Well, at least nothing fatal or dangerous or something like a parasite eating up my eye ball. -_-’… Then Dad pointed out to the doctor about my nosebleed that keeps on coming and takes a long time to last. The doctor decided to get us to a nose doctor. Well, the thing was that we didn’t get to see the nose doctor because we waited for about 30 more minutes and we decided that we had to go. Talking about nose check ups, I remembered an event that happened when I was a kid. Somewhere around 8 to 9 years old. My parents took me to the doctor to check my check on my nose. The doctor decided to look into my nose with a camera. Well, before that, he put on some cream that will make it numb. I thought, Great! So my nose won’t hurt! However, the doctor got the stick and was getting ready to stick it up my nose. At first, I thought that it wouldn’t hurt. Then, the doctor stuck the stick with a tiny camera up my nose. HOLY FRIGGIN SH*T! IT HURTS! I told him that it hurts but the doctor said that the medicine should be working. Then my parents agreed with him. Then he continued to push the stick up my nose and I saw the inside of my nose on the TV screen – not a really pleaseant sight to see… Well, I continued to tell the doctor that my nose hurts like hell. He then said that the medicine should be working. But I said that it hurts! He urged and said that the medicine is working and that I’m just over-reacting. Curse him… What happened after that? I had a numb nose because the medicine finally worked when we got into the car (which was like 15 minutes later). After that? We went home to eat and the medicine seemed to have gone all the way down to my mouth and I didn’t even taste a single thing that I ate. I bet that I could eat the most disgusting thing and say that it’s yummy…

Back to the present day… After leaving the hospital, Dad, Lynn, and I went to Major Cineplex at Ratchayothin. We decided to get a round of Spiderman 2. Of course, it was only 1 PM and the movie was sometime around 4 PM! So we decided to have a quick lunch @ Nooddi. I ordered “Guay Thiao Rua” (Thai noodles). And you all know that I am a person who CANNOT eat spicy food. Well, I just tried for the heck of it. I also ordered “Pad Thai” for later. Well, the Guay Thiao Rua got here first and after a few bites of it and I was steaming up. It was HELLA spicy! I was gulping down my glass of water. Finally, at halfway, the Pad Thai got there. Thank God, the Pad Thai wasn’t spicy. It was pretty good. I had to finish my Guay Thiao Rua and by the end of it, my face was sweating like hell. After eating, we still had an hour and a half to go so we went to the waiting room. Lynn and I read a few magazines there. Let’s see… Movie Magazine… Articles on The Notebook, King Arthur, The Chronicles of Riddick, a big article on Halle Barry in Catwoman, Lindsay Lohan, JK Rowling, etc, etc, etc… That kind of took away the boredom… About ten minutes before the movie began, we bought some popcorn and went into the movie theatre. The movie, Spiderman 2, was really good and much darker than the first one. Good sequel. The plot was good, the special effects were good, the acting was great, everything was awesome! Is there going to be a Spiderman 3??? Well, after the movie, we went home…. what a day…

Well, I used to mention in my earlier blogs about the 24/7 Thai Reality Show called “Academy Fantasia“, remember? Well, it has ended up to becoming a really addictive show. Every single day, I will be flipping to UBC Channel 34 to see what they’re doing. Of course, the contestants are being watched 24/7 so we don’t know if they’re acting as themselves or if they’re faking it. Well, here are just some of my opinion on all the twelve contestants (even the ones who were voted out)…

V1 – Jean (จีน) (19)

Well, she is one of my favorite people. She sings really well and has quite a good personality. She’s not too uptight and can joke around. She can go really low and really high whenever she sings. She recently sang Whitney Houston’s “Could I Have This Kiss Forever” last week with Wit (V2). In Week 4’s Concert, she gave a breathtaking performance when she sang a Thai song and captured the audience when she sang. She was really into the song and at the end of it, a single tear came down her eye. Rating: 10 out of 10.

V2 – Wit (วิทย์) (27)

He is also one of my favorite contestants. He sings quite well and can imitate Justin Timberlake’s “Like I Love You” song and moves REALLY well (Week 2’s Concert). But he is a little bit of a show off when he helps people with their dance moves. I mean it gets kind of annoying sometimes. But he is really good and I have to admit that he sang really well with Jean for “Could I Have This Kiss Forever”. Rating: 9 out of 10.

3 – Nan (แนน) (20)

She is a good singer but since her sister, Nune, got voted off in Week 4, she got somewhat meaner and more bossy. She sang quite well at Week 3’s Concert when she sang “Pu Ying Leum Yaag” by Pink (The Thai Band). Her voice was really low and very powerful – though a little bit loud sometimes because she doesn’t move the microphone away from her mouth when she goes REALLY loud. Rating: 8 out of 10.

V4 – K (เค) (23)

He is one of the suckiest singers her. And I mean he SUCKS! He DID sing quite well at last week’s performance with Jumjim (don’t even mention her…) when they did a look toong song called “Moan Rak Look Toong”. I mean, he sounded like he was a look toong singer, except when he went to the high part when he sounded REALLY horrible. Just hope that he doesn’t win… Rating: 4 out of 10.

V5 – Jumjim (Pronounce: Jume-Jim) (จุ้มจิ้ม) (28)

One question I would like to ask the Academy Fantasia team is that HOW THE HECK DID SHE GET IN?! Why? Because she SUCKS. (Even worse than K) Even the commentators said so. Last week, when she sang “Do Re Mi” (a look toong song), the commentator said that the song was meant to be sung weirdly, but not THIS weird. Ouch! And she tries to act so nice, but she one time muttered to Namthan very softly, saying: “Jean acts like she’s so good and keeps on helping other people.” Well, hello! Have you ever taken a look at yourself? Hope she goes out FAST. Rating: 1 out of 10 – 1 point for her great acting as a sweet little girl – even though she’s not… she’s a 28 year old dentist who can’t sing.

V6 – Off (อ็อฟ) (19)

Hella sucks. Stares at you with his bug-eyes that look like that they’re going to pop out any minute. He does NOT sing well and is one of the show offers. Surprisingly, people like him… Sigh… But he did sing QUITE well during Week 3’s Concert where he sang a slow Thai song. It sounded quite nice, but the rest? Downhill… Hope he goes out soon. Rating: 4 out of 10.

V7 – Namthan (Pronounce – Naam-Thaan) (น้ำตาล) (21)

True that she might like to show off about her looks but I have to admit that she IS a better singer than Jumjim. On Week 4’s Concert, she sang 001’s “Yom Thung Thae Na Pra Too” song really well. Maybe because she used to sing in Chiang Mai. Did you know that her favorite singer is Shania Twain? Well, I think that she hates Jumjim because while the commentators were all commenting badly on Jumjim during their Sao Sao Sao trio with Nan last week, Namthan was smiling very brightly. And she glared at Jumjim one time when Jumjim told the teacher to let Namthan sing one whole verse. Rating: 7 out of 10.

V8 – Top (ท็อป) (24)

Sorry, not much to write about him because he was the first to go out. But he was kind of a show offer about his looks. And he kept on playing his guitar and sang along with Avril Lavinge’s “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. But he WAS kind of bad at singing, still, it was a shock that he went out because he was one of the popular people – so this might mean that Jumjim will be going out soon! Hip hip hooray! Rating: 3 out of 10.

V9 – Cnam (Pronounce – See-Nam) (ซีแนม) (19)

I have to say that SHE is HELLA FRIGGIN good at singing. Not only that, everybody, and I mean everybody loves her. Not only does she sing well, she is also very nice and very cute and very outgoing. She can do fast pop songs and slow powerful songs. She stunned everybody when she sang “Eternal Flame” and “Plick Lock” (Thai). Last week, she was “voted out” but then the voting was cancelled because of “SMS failure”… But anyway, when they said that she was out, everybody… and I mean EVERYBODY in the studio gasped when they found out that Cnam was out. And they all cheered when they found out that she was in again. I have to tell you that she gets my vote! Rating: 10 out of 10.

V10 – Por (ปอ) (19)

He is one of my favorite contestants. He is very outgoing and sings quite okay. But he stunned everybody at Week 2’s Concert when he did a Thai rock ballad and made everybody into it. He can also play the guitar and the piano. After Top left, he is now the most popular guy of all… well, after Wit. Again, he is quite okay at singing and has a good peresonality. Rating: 9 out of 10.

V11 – Mam (แหม่ม) (18)

The youngest contestant in this show. She was the second to be voted out from the Academy. She was originally a model for “Elite Model” and plays the violin. Hmm… seems talented. Although she her skills are quite okay, she DID show a lot of improvement. Because by the third week, she seemed much more confident and very good at singing and dancing as she sang to Sandra’s “Jaag Gun Duay Mai Dee” song. I had to admit that she really improved, but she was later offered a presenter job for UBC (I think that she’s on the “I WANT TO KNOW” show on UBC Inside Channel (Channel 35). Rating: 8 out of 10. (Quite odd that her photo isn’t in black and white with an X mark even though she’s already out…)

V12 – Nune (นุ่น) (19)

She is Nan’s sister and was the third to go out. She WAS quite good and was REALLY active. She danced a lot and sang kinda well… At her first performance with a look toong song, she performed quite well and kept the audience entertained. I have to admit that people didn’t want her to leave and she was quite popular… but then since her popularity poll wasn’t high enough (since Jumjim’s been taking it all), she had to leave. Rating: 7 out of 10.

Well, I have to say that this show is actually quite good and it is making me really addicted to it. I wonder what songs they’ll get for this week… If you want to see the discussion and fights about each of the contestants, visit the Webboard. But it would be good if you know Thai because it’s mostly Thai people there and if you can’t read Thai, then it’ll be a little hard for you… But these days, I have been getting really into all of these reality shows… Fear Factor, The Amazing Race, Survivor, Academy Fantasia… What’s next?!

Here’s a comment reply to Amara who commented in my previous blog… I would like to use Microsoft Word to type all my writings in so that I could check my spelling, grammar, etc… But I don’t think that I need it because this is just a blog for writing anything. So I don’t think I’ll need to spell check anything. Also, I kind of like to type up my blog in the Weblog Entry area… It makes me feel like I have to finish it faster… Maybe I’m just weird :D

As some of you who checked out Ray Fong’s site might have realized that he has returned from Taiwan and he will be posting some more about his trip to Taiwan there. So don’t forget to check it out!

And finally, after days of silence, Rose has returned and will be writing her blog soon (right?). She said that she’s been gone because she was at Prim’s house… Read more about it at her site. Rose, do you know when Candy will update her site?

Right now, Lee’s site is under PRIVATE mode (hasn’t it always been). But a couple of us are hoping that he will make it public soon… Will you, Lee?

Also, Erica is going to be coming back to Thailand on August 2 and she’ll go back to the states sometime around the 26th… So those of you who are her friends can meet up with her…

Lastly, check out Kathy’s blog! It’s been running for quite a while (even longer than my friends and mine)! It’s really nice! Check it out at: http://tabulas.com/~kAtTi.

Also, if you want to see something quite disgusting… umm… here… check it out… I’m not sure if the URL is working anymore because I got it months ago… But check it out… Note: Children underage should not view… AT ALL!! Here’s the URL: http://www.bangedup.com/archives/DIVAMILKSHAKE1.wmv

Sorry Mandy that I can’t get a Bellefire song for you to hear because there aren’t any of their songs on Kapook.com. And neither on my other music site that I get music from. And I don’t really feel like an Offsprings mood. I’ve been watching too much Academy Fantasia and I’m kind of in a “Thai Song Mood”…

Here is another picture of something that is quite disgusting… Recently, my dad had the painters to come and repaint one of our rooms and they left the “paint protector” there for over night. And it would take it a long time for it to dry up. This morning, we found… a dead “jing-joak” (gekko/lizard) in that area… God bless it… Here’s the picture… click here

I have just heard from my cousin, who got married last December, that they have a baby that is already 8 weeks old! Wow! That means that the baby must have been “created” sometime around May… Which would mean that it would be born sometime in February… It’ll probably become a Valentine’s Day baby… Cool… Well, here’s a picture of the baby…

Well, congratulations to my cousins! Anyway, I got to go now, hear from you guys later! By the way, my bruise from my fall is gone, my eye pain is gone, and my torn pants are gone! This entry was kind of short after having two long entries, right?

CURRENT MOOD: Pissed & Sleepy.

Note: Pissed because my com popped up with “ILLEGAL OPERATION” when I was half done with my blog and I had to start all over again. Sleepy because it’s FOUR IN THE MORNING!

Currently Reading: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling (The forth time I read it already… Can you please hurry up with “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince”, Mrs. Rowling??)
