Wow… It’s been exactly one week since I have updated my Xanga… So, you’re probably wondering: What took you so long to update? Well, it’s because I have just had a busy – REALLY BUSY – week… And trust me, if you are not in the mood for reading, you shouldn’t go on reading now… because this following entry will probably be the LONGEST entry of all the ones I ever wrote. So… now you’re probably wondering: What could you write so much about? Well, I will be writing about my week at Harrow International School… Yes, I know, it doesn’t sound that interesting… But if you were me, you would find it really tiring and yet, quite fun… So, if you want to continue, grab some popcorn because here we goooooooo………..
Day 1 – Welcome to Harrow and here, take our tests…
Woke up at 6:30 AM and got ready for “school”. Dad and I left home at around 7:10 AM and we arrived there in twenty minutes. Oh, also note that I didn’t buy the Harrow uniform yet, so I was still in my RIS uniform – imagine all the stares I got… Anyway… I went to Ms. Eastgate and she took me to my “Tutor Group” (a.k.a. Homeroom), which is with Mr. Grey – the Head of Sciences teacher. After being assigned with a “buddy”, whose name is Ham, I was instructed to follow him for the rest of the day. So he took me to his first class, which was Art class. Because it’s the last week of school, there wasn’t anything to do. So the students were just hanging out and talking about things that happened recently, for example, the new Thai 24/7 reality TV show “Academy Fantasia”, Wimbledon match of Andy Roddick (especially about Andy Roddick) against Roger Federer, and Wimbledon match of Maria Sharapova (whom was really admired by the girls – and the guys…) against Serena Williams. Anyway, after spending two whole periods in art class with the smell of spray paint, it was break time. I went to the canteen with Ham and was introduced to all of his friends, Mew, Boom, Poom, Maek (pronounced “Mek” as in the CLOUD), Eli, Nithi, Leng, Kevin, Kitty, Ragaf, and a few more people. He even told me who each of them liked – not only that, but he pointed to each of them… After the break, we went to Physics class. And what could we do but to spice it up with a little test. Joy, I thought to myself, do I have to do this?! And guess what… YES! As soon as the test started, I was fumbling through all my memories of Mrs. Rao babbling about physics and how important it is… How a plane flies, how a bird flies, how a spaceship flies… Surprisingly, none of those things were on the test. There were things on friction, molecules, particles, conduction, convection, radiation, heat, etc… Well, guess what! The last time I learned those was when I was in sixth and seventh grade… So, my mind shifted to Mr. Brad talking about particles as they “danced”, “shook”, and “glided” through the object. Well, it DID help me remember but I can’t describe it that way! Mind moved to Mrs. Panadda excitedly teaching us about particles and how they behaved… Okay, that kind of helped… Well, you can imagine how the rest of the test went… After the horrifying test (by the way, the test went on for two periods), I went up to English with Ham. According to Mr. Riley, he said that I will be learning in another group with Ms. Beresford, who teaches. Well, English was quite boring because we went through the exams and the class was practically falling asleep. Anyway, after English (1 period), we went back down to the lab and had, sadly, our (more like theirs) Biology test. Again, I was tumbling with thoughts of my past Middle School Science teachers talking about the body, DNA, cells, etc. But sadly, the test was focused on digestion – which I did learn with Mrs. Rao. YET! There was practically nothing that I learned with Mrs. Rao. The only thing in there that we learned in Eighth grade were questions on amylase, the definition of digestion, some digestion organs, and a bit on enzymes. The rest were all on teeth, vitamins, minerals, food questions, and experiment questions. You could imagine how I did on that test. After the test, which took one period, we went to eat. Lunch was good (lasagna). Because Ham was leaving Harrow at the end of this school year, he had this big cardboard that people from the art class made for him and he was letting people sign it. We sat at the stone table in front of the Science building and a couple of people were signing it. While people were signing the board, Ham said “Hoey! Gu thoat na woey!” (Translation: Hey! I farted!”). At first, I thought it was a joke. Then, a few seconds later, I realized that Ham was not joking at all. After lunch, Ham took me to Thai class. Kru Jutairat was asking me how long I learned Thai and whether or not I could read, spell, write, speak, and understand Thai. After answering the series of questions, we had to do this vocabulary sheet about the novel that they were reading, which is called “Gwa Ja Roo Diang Saa” (Translation: By the time you realised). In addition to that, she mentioned that there will be a Thai test on Friday. Joy. After two periods of learning Thai, school finally ended and we were dismissed. (A rumor about a girl liking me also came out too… I haven’t seen her but they said that her name was “Omm”)…
Day 2 – A Red Shrek and B5!
Again, I got to school and went to Mr. Grey’s room. Again, I was to follow Ham throughout the day. But Ham was not there yet… He was late… So Ploy, a girl from my Tutor group, said that she’ll take me to class because they, Ham and her, have the same classes together. The first class I had on this day was Business Studies. After being introduced to the teacher, Mr. Brown (I think that was his name…), we went through the exams that the students took the week before. Oh, and Ham was there by then. After going through the exams for one period, he taught us a little bit on “Surveys”. Random sample, stratified randome sample, quota sample, and cluster sample. After Business Studies, there was break. After break, we went to P.E. and Ham introduced me to Sky and Shintaro. Sky said that he used to go to RIS – three years ago or so… So all of you class of 2007 might remember him. As for Shintaro, he was pretty nice – rather quiet in a way. Of course, I was introduced to the P.E. teacher and he misunderstood that I was going to take P.E. as an IGCSE subject. I was like: Oh no, sir! I don’t think that I will be taking P.E. for an IGCSE subject… He also mentioned that they did 70 pages of reports, they learned the THEORY of P.E. (I was like: erm… what?), and they had their P.E. exam. And no, the exam is not a how-good-are-you-at-sports type of exam, but it was all based on theory, in other words, it was a written exam. After going through the exam and having a little party for Ham and Eli, who are both leaving, for two class periods, we had to dash to Chemistry. Note: The distance from the gym and the Science building was really far. Anyway, when we arrived at Chemistry class, we were, of course, 5-10 minutes late. The teacher, Mister – no… DOCTOR Smith, was really… umm… how will I say it… Very scary… He was rather short and plump and red with a little Scottish accent – he kind of reminded me of Shrek, except for the fact that he was red and Shrek was Green… but he was wearing a green shirt! Anyway, back to the subject, he was REALLY scary. While the girls were all signing Ham’s board, he was checking the books. After that, the girls were still signing the board, so he said, “put that thing away or I’m going to break it into pieces and throw them into the fire and burn them all up!” (this was followed by a huge long breath). The class was subdued. He then passed out some revision sheets that will help us with our IGCSE exams next year. He was actually quite sarcastic. Why? Because he was saying that the class’s grades are mostly D’s and E’s (Note: there are no F’s). And he said that you get an E if you show up for the exam and you get a D if you show up for that exam and you know how to write. Ouch… Well, he let us watch a movie… Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow. A rather boring and confusing movie as the class found. Oh! Before the movie started, a couple of people from the other class came to our class and Eli and Maek came running in and chasing each other. Dr. Smith then shouted, “COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE STOP ACTING IDIOTIC AND SIT DOWN?! DO YOU WANT OUR GUEST TO THINK THAT YOU GUYS ARE ALL IDIOTS?!” (Again, followed by a large breath)… Erm… I guess I was the guest… Anyway, after 2 dull periods watching 2 Gwyneth Paltrows running around London solving their problems, the class was basically throwing snacks around the room and eating them – note: no one paid attention to the movie. Finally, we had lunch. Again, lunch was good (pork in applesauce – I know it sounds gross, but it was G-O-O-D!). Ham and Sky told me that their recent Geography fieldtrip the week before lasted for 4 days and 3 nights and they got to go to Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai – by train on the way there and by plane on the way back… God… I was like… wow… 4 days, 3 nights… cool… While we were waiting for lunch time to finish, we were sitting in the outside corridor and were basically throwing the boater hats around. Anyway, after lunch, we all went up to the second floor of the Dining Hall to the mini-theatre. I asked Mew what was going on… This was how the conversation went… (already translated for you)
Me: Hey, Mew, what’s going on?
Mew: What!? You don’t know what’s going on?
Me: Umm… no…
Mew: Well, B5’s here.
Me: Huh? Who’s B5?
Mew: What?! You don’t know B5?
Me: No…
Mew: They’re a Thai band from Bakery records…
Me: Oh… and… how’s their music like?
Mew: Well, they have a piano in the background and four singers. They only have the piano because they mean to focus on the voices.
Me: Ohh…
Mew: You’ll see…
Well, while we waited for B5 to come out, Mew and Ham were all telling Gaf, a classmate, to do something quite daring. Here’s the conversation…
Mew: Hey! Gaf! I’ll pay you if you stand up and shout out “B5!” three times.
Gaf: Huh? Umm… I’m not sure…
Ham: Hey, come on! Here! I’ll pay you too! (shows some money)
Gaf: Well… but… I don’t think I should…
Mew & Ham: Oh come on!
Here! Here’s the money! (shoving money into his lap)
Gaf: Oh… fine… (stands up) B5! B5!! B5!!! (note: the audience was very quiet right now…) (Gaf sits down to get his money but Mew and Ham grabbed them all back…) Hey! the money!
Ham: Oh it’s ok… Here, we’ll give you more if you stand up and say: “Gu Rak B5!” (Translation: I LOVE B5!”)
Mew: Yeah! Yeah! Here’s the money!
Gaf: Oh… fine… (takes the money and puts it into his pocket. He stands up…) GU RAK B5 WOEY! (sits down, looking really red – even in the dark). Ok?!
Mew & Ham: (holding their laughs) yeah…. er.. er…. yeah…
Finally, B5 came out and performed their first song, baang sing (which is the song that is currently playing). While the song was going on, a person that looked like Leng went up and gave something to the girl singer. Of course, everybody started to scream and cheer and were wondering what he gave to her. After the song, she said, “Umm… and thank you for the tuna salad!” Right… After that, they sang about 6-7 more songs, including the famous “Leaving on a Jet Plane”, and the piano player played really well… And all the girls were cheering for him. It was like that guy was more popular than the rest of the members. After Leaving on a Jet Plane, the girl invited three girls, who asked to sing with them earlier, to come up and sing with them. The girls were really nervous but once they sang with the singer, they were really good. After the concert, we had to go to the Business Studies room to have our House Time (they have it every Tuesday at the last two periods). Before I go on, there are 6 different Houses named after famous people. Here they are…
Byron (Green – named after Lord Byron, a poet)*
Churchill (Blue – named after Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister)*
Keller (Yellow – named after Helen Keller, a writer)
Nehru (Red – named after Jawaharlal Nehru, first Prime Minister of India)*
Sonakul (Orange – named after the Thai Royal Family – Sonakul)*
Suriyothai (Purple – named after Queen Suriyothai of Thailand)
* = Graduates of Harrow
Anyway, I was put into the Byron house along with Ham, Eli, Gaf, and Ragaf. Mr. Wise, the Head of Byron house and Head of ICT (Information Communication Technology), talked to us about the “Harrow Shout” that would take place on the next day. He also mentioned that we had to do a cheer… So… We got our “lyrics” and we were supposed to use the “Da Do Ron Ron” song… I’ll post the lyrics on Day 3 because this day is just getting really long… Well, after the house meeting, school ended. By the way, you might be wondering what happened to Gaf, who shouted out “GU RAK B5″… Well, he didn’t get into trouble but he ended up with about 500 Baht in his pockets… Lucky him…
Day 3 – Go By Ron Ron Ron and Macarona
Wow… Harrow Shout… And there I was wearing the Harrow P.E. uniform. Anyway, after going to the Tutor Group and having to spend an hour in the same room, the class were basically practicing the song. We were supposed to meet up at the music room at 8:30, but we went ten minutes late. While the Year 7, 8, and 9 were having trouble singing and dancing, we, Year 10’s, were doing the Russian dance while we sang… -__-‘… After having a singing practice, we had to go and learn how to “dance” with Mr. Herbert. He gave us really weird moves like the “scuba diving” move. Not only that, he moved the Year 10’s who were originally at the back to the front at each side. So we were like the main highlight of the act. It was really embarrassing… After dancing, we had a break. After the break, we went to the Gym (Sports Hall) and had to practice it onstage. Finally, after the millionth practice, we had to stop so that we could watch the Primary school students perform their shouts. The Byron team did quite well, using the theme: “Byron Boogie” (Not “Boggies”). Sonakul’s was pretty cute too, since they used the song “Cheeky Girls” but changed the lyrics to: “We are the pretty girls, We are the handsome boys, We are the sexy girls, We are the pretty girls, Come and touch my thumbs, Cheeky Cheeky!”… After watching all the Primary students perform, we were let out for lunch. By the way, all of the students from Primary and Secondary could fit into half of the Sports Hall and still have plenty of room for the Year 11, Year 12, and Year 13’s, who didn’t show up for the Harrow Shout. Ragaf told me that there were only about 800 students in all. Oh, forgot to mention, while the Primary Byrons were performing, Ham told Gaf to stand up and shout out: “GO BYRON!” in front of the whole school and swing his arms in circles… He did it… He didn’t get any money though… For lunch, the lucky little Primary kids got to eat in the Dining Hall while we, Secondary students, had to eat sandwiches, fruits, and orange juice or water outside of the Dining Hall. The sandwiches were actually filling… While we were waiting for time to fly by, I had a bloody nose and it took about half an hour to get rid of it… Was that a bad luck sign? I don’t know… Anyway, after the bloody, bloody nose, we returned to the Sports Hall and we had to perform OUR cheer. Luckily, Mr. Herbert said that we will go in reverse order. So that means that Byron will go last and Suriyothai will go first… Thank God! First, Suriyothai with an adaptation of Kylie Minogue’s famous “In Your Eyes” song. They changed the title to: “It’s Suriyothai”… They had a big shock when they got a guy to come out running in something quite similar to a hankerchief around the chest with short shorts… After this, there was Sonakul’s “YMCA” adaptation where they sang it as: “In the House of SO-OH-NA-KUL”… Their performance was pretty okay… After Sonakul’s performance, we had Nehru’s cheer, which they used one of those rock songs from the 80s. Pretty cool how they changed it… Anyway, after that, Keller performed with “We Will Rock You”… but they changed it to “We Will Kill You” – since Keller sounds like “killer”… Then Churchill performed with a rather relaxing song. Finally… Byron… Well, because I haven’t told you the lyrics yet, here they are… Try and sing it with the Da Do Ron Ron tune…
“We study at Harrow, which is quite a thrill,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron,
It’s almost the same as a house on the hill,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron,
Yeah! Harrow on the Hill! Yeah! Harrow on the Hill!
Ours is much closer to home,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron…
We might not be the first but we’ve had a good try,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron,
We have a good reason so you better ask why,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron,
Yeah! We’re too polite! Yeah! You know it’s right!
Just wait till next year,
Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron…
Year 7: And all of Year 7 are ready to fight,
All: Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron…
Year 9: And that’s just the same for all of Year 9,
All: Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron…
Yeah! We’re ready to fight! Yeah! With Byron might!
And then next year…
We’ll win, win, win, win, We’ll win, win, win…
Year 9 & 10: Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,
Year 7 & 8: Go By Ron Ron, Go Byron! (Repeat this verse three times)”
Well, unluckily, while we were done with the first verse and were about to go into the second verse, the CD went acting weird and kept on repeating the drum beats… So… We had to start all over again… Curse the CD, I thought to myself. After what seemed like ages, we were done! HOORAH! Then, we found out the results… The Primary Byron did quite well, because they got 4th place – Nehru got first. But for the Secondary school, the order was like this…
6th Place: Keller (haha…)
5th Place: Nehru (well, at least your Primary won first place…)
3rd Place: Suriyothai & Sonakul (well… it was quite a bit of a shock)
2nd Place: Byron (well, we did better than we thought…)
1st Place: Churchill (everybody hated Churchill that afternoon…)
Well, after we found out the winner, we were dismissed and the third day of the softball game continued. I didn’t get to watch the first two days but Ham and Ploy said that Byron lost… Well, same results on this day… Actually, Ham did a good hit but he threw the bat… So he was kicked out… And Shintaro from Suriyothai hit a homerun! Well, after that softball match, I went home. One funny thing was that when I came home, my maid asked me if I wanted to have macaroni… well, the funny thing was that she called it wrong… here’s how it went.
My Maid: Umm… what do you want to eat? (Note: the famous Spanish song “Macarena” [is that how you spell it?] was on her radio)
Me: Umm… what food is there?
My Maid: Well… There’s “macarona”
Me: (thinking to myself: macarona?!)
My Maid: Wait! No! Macaroni! Macaroni!
Me: Umm… ok…. (thinkin to myself: macarona sounds like that Spanish song… Macarena or something…)
Day 4 – Balls and Numbers
Day four. Almost the end of the week… Well, again, I went to school, went to Mr. Grey’s class, and I had to follow Ham around again. We first went to Business Studies. Today, we didn’t learn, but we watched Shrek. Quite funny, especially at the part where the Dulock music box sang: “…Keep your shoes off the grass, shine your shoes, wipe your — FACE!” (Note: They were showing their butt and what else rhymes with grass but…a-s-s?) Well, after watching shrek for two periods, we again had break. After the break, we learned Math. Well, this is for all of you brainy mathematicians out there… Especially for YOU, Ray Fong… Try and see if you could figure out this following problem…
Can you get the number 21 by using the numbers 1, 5, 6, and 7 and by using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Not all symbols (plus, minus, times, divide) will be used. Think carefully!
Well, I’ll tell the answer of how to solve it in my next entry… After trying to solve that problem, Mr. Clear, the Math teacher, gave us the answer and there were lots of “oohs” and “ahhs”. We did some sort of a “genius” test that was supposed to see how smart you are… Boom, Maek, Mew, and I got around the 40s. Ham got around 67. To our shock, this was meant for Year 7 and Year 8 students! Surprisingly, one Japanese guy got 120! WHOA! According to Mew and Boom, they said that Shintaro (the guy that got the homerun) has an IQ of 190! I was like: WTF?! 190?! That’s almost like EINSTEIN! After double Maths, we went to learn P.E. But this P.E. class involved the WHOLE Year 10. It was said so that everybody has to learn P.E. at least once a week. Well, there were three choices between soccer, tennis, and fitness. Most of the guys chose soccer and a lot of the girls chose fitness. But people like Ham, Gaf, Shintaro, two other Japanese guys, Fern, some other girls, and myself decided to go and play tennis. Note: There were many balls in the basket and by the time we were done playing, all of the balls were all over the tennis courts. So we had to spend some extra time gathering all the tennis balls – some even flew across the wall and fell into the soccer field. After two periods of P.E., we went to eat. Again, lunch was good (mashed and baked potatoes – hella friggin delicious! Very buttery and cheesy and the chickens! *drooling*)… After lunch, we went up to watch the Drama/Art/Music performance that was made by the Drama, Art, and Music classes. The performance was called “Numbers”. I thought that it was pretty interesting how they got the Fibonacci sequence and turned it into art and musical notes. It was also quite enjoyable watching the Drama class perform a spoof of all the James Bond under two and a half minutes. Really good. Also, they had a “cell-phone” orchestra where they got all the cell phones and let them play at the same time – which was a great deal of breaking the rules but the teachers didn’t mind. After the show, school was over and we were all free to go home. (School ended 20 minutes earlier than usual).
Day 5 – Monopoly Mania and “May the Fortune of the House Stand”
Well, this is the last day of the school year. Everybody’s tired. And… Oh wait… This is the day that we will have the Thai test on the book! Great… Well, again, Ham was late, but Ploy took me to the Thai class and guess what… only 6 to 7 people were there. Why? They all skipped… Well… By the time the Eli and the girls wanted to leave, Kru Jutairat already arrived. After a long discussion with the other Thai teacher, they have decided that they will have the test when we come back from our holidays. So while we waited for two periods of Thai class to go away, we played nothing but the famous board game, Scrabble. (No, not Scabbers from Harry Potter) Nithi and I teamed up against Suree and See. After losing all of our spots, the first round game ended 174 to 102. And yes, you guessed correct, Suree and See won. Well, at the very last minute of the second game, Nithi and I were able to make up the word “GREMLIN” and connected it to an “S” – causing us to get a “Double Letter Score” and 2 “Triple Word Score”. And that made us win 194 to 152! After Thai, we had break. And after break, we had Biology with Mr. Duckworth. By then, Ham arrived. As we sat in Biology for two periods, we decided to play Monopoly and Nithi went to borrow the board from Mr. Batty in the Maths Department. We got the board and we began to play. Ham was the ship. Mew was the bolwer hat. I was the shoe. Nithi was the iron or shield. And Sky was the dog. After being stuck in jail three times (one time for being “drunk” and twice for landing on”GO TO JAIL!”), I was finally able to buy some lands. By then, Sky was leading with lots of money and cards. He also kept on asking: “Where’s my dog?” after he threw his dice. Well, after playing for a long time, the bell rang and we had to move up to English class. On our way to English class, Mew, Boom, Nithi, and I were walking – boater-hat-less. While we were walking pass the Headmaster’s office, Mr. Dawls, one really mean guy, came out and called us. Here’s how the conversation went…
Mr. Dawls: Hey! Hey! You four! Get back here!
Four boys: (Turn around, confused.)
Mr. Dawls: (Stares at Nithi) Where’s your boater?
Nithi: I can’t wear it… (Reason: He has a turban.)
Mr. Dawls: Well, you ought to be carrying it with you! (Turns to me. About to open his mouth.) Why —
Me: Oh, sir, I am just a visitor here.
Mr. Dawls: Oh… Well… (Turns to Boom) Where’s YOUR boater?
Boom: Uhh… I lost it in the Dining Hall…
Mr. Dawls: How could you have lost it in the Dining Hall?!
Boom: Well… I put it down and when I came back, it was gone…
Mr. Dawls: Well, then carry it with you the next time! (Turns to Mew) Where’s YOUR boater?
Mew: I-uh-I… I forgot to bring it…
Mr. Dawls: Don’t forget to bring it the next time! You all better show up nicely tomorrow! (Note: Saturday is the Annual Speech Day)
Mew, Boom, Nithi: Yes sir…
(Mr. Dawles leaves. We wait until he is gone out of sight. Once nowhere to be seen, Boom, Mew, and Nithi burst out laughing.)
After waiting for Mr. Riley’s permission for ages so that we can play Monopoly, Ham went to call Sky, Mew, and Nithi from the other English classes. Of course, the longer we played, the more addicted we became. But sadly, at 11:45, we had to move to the second floor of the Dining Hall so that we can have the assembly. (Yes, they have assembly in an air-conned room. They said that they usually have it after lunch though…) So we decided to leave the Monopoly boad there but we took our money and cards. We went up to the second floor of the Dining Hall and there were a few good byes to some teachers. There were also recognitions for those who got “platinum” certificates. Those who got really high stamps will get “double platinum certificates”. The top three highest number of stickers were 182, 187, and 207 (all girls, too). Ms. Eastgate said that the House teams earn points from House activities, afterschool activities, class cooperation, and even by students’ grade reports! Of course, we finally found out the results and here they are…
6th Place: Sonakul
5th Place: Churchill
4th Place: Nehru
3rd Place: Byron
2nd Place: Suriyothai
1st Place: Keller
And yes, Keller won first place with practically 500 points and above. One surprising thing is that the Houses named after women and that have women as Head of Houses (Keller and Suriyothai) ended up at the top spots! Could this mean something?! After the announcement of the House Cup, we had a little Rock Band performance, which was performed by some people who were several Years older. The band did no other song by Silly Fool’s famous song from their latest album, King Size. What’s the song? “Nam-Lai”, which means saliva. The band was AWESOME! The drummer was really good. The guitarists were hella good. And the singer sounded just like the original singer from Silly Fools. They ARE better than the band at RIS (especially better than the “Underground” band). While the band performed, Ploy told Jeeb that they should stand up and dance to the song. Jeeb agreed. At the next chorus, Jeeb stood up and started dancing and singing along with the lyrics. Ploy? She sat down and watched Jeeb dance. Well, after that, we had lunch at 12:45 PM. Lunch was good (Fish and chips – hella good. They’re not cold like RIS’s and their chips are french fries, not two lumps of potatoes like RIS). As soon as we finished eating, Mew, Trin (Mew’s friend), and I went up to the English classroom. We waited for Ham and Nithi to arrive. After awhile, we lost patience of waiting for Sky. So we decided to play without him. Nithi was the first to go bankrupt and had to give all his stuff to Mew. I later went bankrupt and had to give all my stuff to Ham. Then it was a final show down between Mew and Ham. At sometime around 1:45 PM, Mew lost Ham but Mew decided to cell one of his spots to Ham (It was called Park Lane). Then, after another 30 minutes of playin, Ham was losing. At one point, he did lose but he sold his spots to Mew. Although the room was really cold, Mew and Ham were all red and were sweating really bad. Even though school ended at 2:00 PM, they still continued to play and at 2:30 PM, they made a bet: If Mew lands on Ham’s Mayfield area, Ham will win. But if Mew doesn’t land on Ham’s Mayfield area, Mew will win. Mew decided to roll the dice one by one. Luckily, Mew was just one space away and he would lose! Results out! Mew won! Wow… That was one long game… Anyway, Ham also told me that at Harrow, there are no dances (rats…). But there are something like a PROM/BALL for the older years like Year 12 and Year 13. Oh… Also, I bumped into Mr. Fivey a couple of times this week. Surprisingly, he still remembers me even after a year!
So… Here’s just an overview of the subjects I took this week… Classes are about 40 minutes long and about 5 minutes in between classes…
